The really good stuff. Not being electricians ourselves we don’t know why one needs 8.5 mil versus the standard 7 mil. But we were kids, we did stick our fingers in electrical sockets (come on, admit it, you too) and no one here wants to repeat that memory. If electricians want to use 8.5 mil they will get no argument from us.
Our Merco M85+ is superior quality all-weather electrical tape intended to serve as primary insulation for all wire and cable splices up to 600 volts and 105C. It measures 8.5 mil thick (versus standard UL electrical at 7 mil.) M85+ offers excellent abrasion resistance as well as resistance to acids and alkalis, moisture, corrosion, sunlight and UV, and it offers a working temperature range down to -12C (for UL standards) and -18C (for CSA standards). It’s ideally suited for moisture tight electrical and mechanical connections.
Merco M85+ is U.L., C.S.A. approved and meets UL510 requirements as well as MIL I-24391C.
