PVC carton sealing tape? Why? It is more expensive than poly pro. Rolls are half the industrial size. And yes, it is more expensive than poly pro. Nothing like pitching the downside first…
So why do people continue to buy this? Because the product is that good. It can torn by hand (no need to look for a knife) yet it is stronger than polypropylene. monta 220 and 281 apply very well with less stretch. The natural rubber adhesive grips instantly in cold and humid conditions and PVC will work with most of today’s cartons: highly recycled content. Importantly it has a smooth and consistent unwind with almost no noise (you might think your workers are on coffee break). This is quiet. Suitable for use in warehouse or office with out disturbing the rest of your operation. Once you use this you’ll see the advantages over Polypropylene.
monta 220 and 281 meet UPS, U.S. Postal Service, Freight Rule 222 and RR Carload requirements.

The 220 and 281 are the same tape (220 is clear, 281 is tan).
So, PVC carton sealing tape? Yes. This is the tape of choice for art museums and galleries, shippers of jewelry, luggage, film crews, offices and other ‘not a warehouse’ type of shipping (remember, it is quiet enough even for a doctor’s office.) For those not technologically inclined enough to use a dispenser this will hang straight if you pull off a long strip to seal the box. Don’t try that with poly pro.
