Like all of our T30R series dispensers the Merco T30R-QT is built around a one piece deep-drawn thick steel frame (epoxy enameled in International Orange color) the shafts, swing gate and adjustable brake are also made of steel. The ergonomic ABS resin handle is comfortable and importantly does not contain PAH. The roller is real rubber (not plastic) and the wipe down tab is made of a flexible nylon. These units are put together with high quality fasteners ensuring easy replacement of parts.
Unlike our other T30R series dispensers these feature a patented mechanism to help shield loose fingers from the blades. As we mentioned in the other listings the guys in Italy have found a killer source for steel: it just stays sharp. These units hide the blade behind a guard but still give it full exposure to the tape. The result is a unit superbly suited for environments with quick staff turnover and a lot of newbies. It is also ideal in an office environment where people don’t use tape every day and where they are more likely to get injured from lack of familiarity with how the dispensers work.
